Lexington, Kentucky Author Publishes New Book

Pittsburgh, PA (Vocus) June 2, 2010 -- Fully Human by Frank J. Winchester has been released by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc.

Growing up in Ohio during World War II, Frank J. Winchester was taught that ideal men were super-macho like the characters John Wayne portrayed in movies. But eventually he came to understand that sexuality is complex, and being fully human means expressing a combination of feminine and masculine traits.

At times dark, funny and fascinating, Fully Human candidly describes intimate homosexual relationships—including the author’s own love story—among men in Cincinnati throughout the twentieth century. The author strives to remind us that every person has value, and artificial categories of sexual orientation tell us little about the human beings behind the labels.

Frank J. Winchester was born in 1935 in Mason, Ohio, and spent most of his years in Cincinnati. Now a resident of Lexington, Kentucky, he practices recycling and enjoys poetry, literature, art and classical music. He maintains an interest in the Bible, the sins of scripture and joined Wookland Christian Church on All Saints Day November 1, 2009. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Cincinnati and worked as a vocational rehabilitation counselor for the State of Ohio before retirement.

Fully Human is a 116-page paperback with a retail price of $14.00. The ISBN is 978-1-4349-0528-4. It was published by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
